This is a special piece. My own recreation of a painting my late father, Joseph LaPierre, did back in the early 1990s. A generous collector recently found and gifted my father’s painting to me, and I was so touched and inspired I wanted embrace the connection I felt to his work, and paint like I was there with him. Which is where the title “Same Ocean, New Wave” comes from. Almost 30 years later.
